About the Street Cats Founded by Catastrophe, the 'street cats' are a loosely organized group of strays that have banded together for survival. While they're similar to a Clan in many aspects, they're different in others, and their ranking system is one of these differences.
Healers perform the same duties as medicine cats, but there may be more than one healer at any time. They are expected to act as regular members as well, and are allowed to have mates and kits. Members is simply the catch-all term for 'warriors,' queens, and elders. Those capable of hunting are expected to keep the weak fed and the vulnerable protected. They also teach youths how to hunt, fight, and survive. Youths are the counterpart for apprentices; they have no specific mentor, instead taught by the group as a whole. A youth becomes a member when they reach adulthood, with no ceremony or ritual.
